June/July Book

Summary: The charming tale of Santiago, a shepherd boy, who dreams of seeing the world, is compelling in its own right, but gains resonance through the many lessons Santiago learns during his adventures. He journeys from Spain to Morocco in search of worldly success, and eventually to Egypt, where a fateful encounter with an alchemist brings him at last to self-understanding and spiritual enlightenment.

The Alchemist was a pretty short book and an easy read. I'm not a huge book critique or anything. I usually like most books that I read. I thought this one had a good story line and some interesting ideas. It kept my interest and was fun. I like it.

Yes, it was a quick and easy read. I like how it points out that we can be so focused on what we want in the end, that we forget ot think about what we are learning along the way!
